About the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank
Established in 1978, Lake Stevens Community Food Bank partners with about 100 volunteers to serve approximately 100 families each week. Volunteers and staff procure, sort, store and distribute fresh and non-perishable food to families who wait outside in line, sometimes for upward of three hours.
As our community grows, our current location, a small rented portion of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church basement, limits us in how many families we are able to serve and the amount of food we are able to offer. Despite our best efforts, there are still many hungry families in our community. We have the worst conditions of any food bank in the county, but we are determined to remedy that! We are raising funds for a new Food Bank facility that will allow us to serve our community for many years to come.
